   Looks like this might be an artichoke?
   Although I can’t really tell from the perspective.

      I am reliably informed by my wife, some friends and at least a few commenters that this is in fact an artichoke, which I did kind of suspect to begin with. If we’re wrong it doesn’t exactly matter anyway though, does it? Thanks!

      Why thank you! I really like the green in the background too, it compliments the purple colour of the artichokes.
