I’m a big fan of Instagram (iTunes link). If you don’t know it, it’s basically Twitter for photographs. It’s also only for iPhone. And mysteriously difficult to type. You take a quick photo, apply a filter to it (if you so wish), then post it to your photo stream (for lack of a better term).
I love it for the same reasons I love Twitter – the spontaneous and temporary nature of it all; I’ll grab my phone, take a quick shot and, like Twitter, sometimes end up with something profound, and sometimes with a piece of junk. That said, it’s even more temporary when so few people I know, who haven’t seen sense and got themselves an iPhone (or maybe it’s not for them, I dunno, whatever), can only see the ones I post to Facebook, are a little disappointed when the page it links to alludes to more photos that they can’t see.
To that end, I’ve decided that I will periodically (or rather, sporadically) post collections of my favourite Instagram images (of mine). This is the first set.
